Highbury Media is seeking to employ a Digital Sports Copy Editor. 

The successful applicant will copy edit on Highbury Media’s sports websites sarugbymag.co.za, sacricketmag.com, sportsclub.co.za, compleatgolfer.com, fourfourtwo.co.za and sascoc.co.za. Preference will be given to candidates residing in Cape Town. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

- Correcting spelling, grammatical and factual errors.

- Ensuring appropriate style (using style guide).

- Liaising with writers when required.

- Updating the style guide in consultation with print copy editors.

- Training a copy editor intern.

Requirements:

- Excellent grasp of the English language.

- Give attention to detail.

- Proactive and self-disciplined 

- Problem solving and lateral thinking skills
