Highbury Media (Pty) Ltd is SA’s largest independent magazine and digital publishing company responsible for some of the country’s best-performing titles. We are currently looking for a digital soccer managing editor for our editorial department. The successful candidate will work on the TFG SportsClub: www.sportsclub.co.za and FourFourTwo SA: www.fourfourtwo.co.za websites.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
-Curate content (text and video)
-Ensure content is correctly positioned on home page
-Write news articles and columns
-Ensure a high editorial standard is maintained
-Draw up weekly schedules in consultation with Soccer Editor
-Ensure that weekly schedules are adhered to
-Liaise with digital social media manager to ensure posts are shared on social media

Requirements:
-Excellent knowledge of local soccer (PSL) and the English Premier League
-Good writing and editing skills 
-Previous experience of working on a website
-Social media skills (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)
-Ability to work well in a team environment
