Highbury Media (Pty) Ltd is SA’s largest independent magazine and digital publishing company responsible for some of the country’s best-performing titles. We are currently looking for a video editor for our videography department.

The successful candidate will be required to: 

-Editing and assembling recorded raw material into exciting finished product for online as well as TV broadcast

-Regularly collaborate with marketing team

-Manage and oversee all technical aspects of video recording and editing  

-Involved in conceptualising storylines for upcoming projects

-Working closely with editorial teams to create video content for different audiences

-Edit creative and exciting content within given brief boundaries

-Go out to locations or on set if required

Requirements:

-Great interpersonal and communication skills

-A natural ability for visual storytelling

-Experience of shooting video 

-Strong time management skills with the ability to focus and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment

-Adapt to a constantly changing work flow

-Experience in video editing software, including Final Cut Pro & Premiere Pro CC

-Sync multi camera angles & audio

-Create logo builds and manipulating video templates

-Experience in motion graphic work, including Adobe After effects, Photoshop & Illustrator

-Manipulate 3D space in After Effects & work with kinetic typography & compositing

-Skills in audio editing is a must, mastering audio/cleaning and sourcing and adding music
