Highbury Media (Pty) Ltd is SA’s largest independent magazine and digital publishing company responsible for some of the country’s best-performing titles. We are currently looking for a Digital Content Producer Intern for our Editorial department.

The successful candidate will be exposed to:

Social media content

-Daily posting and monitoring content generation across all the relevant platforms for two lifestyle publishing brands (magazine and website), monitoring and facilitating engagement across all relevant platforms, assisting in brainstorming of new social media initiatives and campaigns.

Website content

-Brainstorming content ideas and generating content for a lifestyle publishing brand (magazine and website), sourcing relevant images and videos

Editorial content

-Brainstorming and pitching content ideas for two lifestyle brands (magazine and website), writing content tailored to various audiences.

Requirements:

-Tertiary qualification in English and/or journalism with a strong interest in the digital sphere, specifically social media.

-Should be familiar with WordPress, trending social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest).

-Excellent writing, copy-editing and organisational skills.

-Proactive and self-disciplined with a strong sense of responsibility.

-Able to work accurately under deadline pressure and willing to work overtime when necessary.

-Work experience in the media industry is an advantage.

-Knowledge in InDesign and the Mac operating system is an advantage.
