Highbury Media (Pty) Ltd is SA’s largest independent magazine and digital publishing company responsible for some of the country’s best-performing titles. We are currently looking for a Senior Videographer for our Videography department.

The successful candidate will be required to:

• Receiving briefs from the art directors and editors, film and edit accordingly
• Assisting on shoots when required
• Managing video interns and ensuring that all assigned work is completed
• Stay updated/informed as to what is happening in the world of social media and online content production
• Editing and assembling recorded raw material into an exciting finished product for online as well as TV broadcast
• Regularly collaborate with the marketing team
• Manage and oversee all technical aspects of video recording and editing
• Involved in conceptualising storylines for upcoming projects
• Working closely with editorial teams to create video content for different audiences
• Edit creative and exciting content within given brief boundaries
• Go out to locations or onset if required

Requirements:

• Diploma or relevant degree in videography
• Ability to work on Final Cut X and skilled in DSLR videography
• Valid driver’s license and own transport
• Being skilled or having a portfolio in stills photography would be an advantage

• A natural ability for visual storytelling
• Strong time management skills with the ability to focus and prioritise in a fast-paced work environment
• Experience in video editing software, including Final Cut Pro and Premiere Pro CC
• Sync multi-camera angles and audio
• Create logo builds and manipulating video templates
• Experience in motion graphic work, including Adobe After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator
• Manipulate 3D space in After Effects and work with kinetic typography and compositing
• Skills in audio editing is a must, mastering audio/cleaning and sourcing and adding music
