We are seeking an experienced Lead Developer to oversee our development team, provide technical guidance, and ensure the successful delivery of projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of developers, ensuring high levels of motivation and performance.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the team, including conducting code reviews and ensuring best practices.
- Collaborate with project managers to plan, execute, and deliver projects on time and within scope.
- Identify and resolve technical and operational issues that may arise during project development.
- Facilitate effective communication within the team and with other departments.
- Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback to team members.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and learning within the team.
- Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a development team.
- Strong technical background with hands-on experience in software development.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and project management principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Experience with project management tools and software development tools.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in the media industry or similar.
- Knowledge of specific programming languages and frameworks used by Habari Media.
- Certification in project management or Agile methodologies.
