Highbury Media (Pty) Ltd is an independent magazine and digital publishing company responsible for some of the best performing titles. We are currently looking for a Social Media Intern for our editorial department.

The successful candidate will be exposed to: 

-Daily scheduling and posting of content across all the relevant social media platforms for two lifestyle publishing brands

-Monitor and facilitate engagement across all relevant platforms

-Assisting in brainstorming new social media initiatives

-Brainstorm content ideas for the websites of two lifestyle publishing brands

-Brainstorm and pitch content ideas for three lifestyle magazines

Requirements:

-Tertiary qualification in English and/or journalism with a strong interest in the digital sphere, specifically social media

-Familiar with InDesign, WordPress CMS, trending social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube) and the Mac operating system

-Excellent writing, copy-editing and organisational skills.

-Proactive and self-disciplined with a strong sense of responsibility.

-Able to work accurately under deadline pressure and willing to work overtime when necessary.

-Work experience in the media industry is an advantage.
