Highbury Media (Pty) Ltd is an independent magazine and digital publishing company responsible for some of the best performing titles. We are currently looking for a Digital Content Producer Intern for our editorial department.

The successful candidate will be exposed to:

-Brainstorm and pitch content ideas for two lifestyle brands (magazine and website)

-Produce and manage content (daily blogs) for the website tailored to various audiences

-Write, copy edit and proof all written work – both editorial and commercial – with careful attention to detail

-Manage own deadlines effectively and turn content around quickly

-Know the market intimately and stay on top of industry standards and trends

-Work closely with the print team, looking for content opportunities wherever possible

-Work with the digital editor to ensure a smooth production process

Requirements:

-Tertiary qualification in English and/or journalism with a strong interest in the digital sphere

-Should be familiar with WordPress, trending social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube)

-Excellent writing, copy-editing and organisational skills.

-Proactive and self-disciplined with a strong sense of responsibility.

-Able to work accurately under deadline pressure and willing to work overtime when necessary.

-Work experience in the media industry is an advantage.

-Knowledge in InDesign and the Mac operating system is an advantage
